Whether you're planning a large family event or a commercial event, the San Joaquin Fairgrounds offers a number of buildings for your needs. If you are looking for a venue with dinner or auditorium seating, the Fairgrounds can accommodate an event of up to 5,000 people. With 252 acres, 6 separate buildings, a grandstand with a seating capacity of 3,800, a race track, 750 horse stalls and room to park 5,000 cars, this venue can be rented to provide the space for a variety of events. Meetings, conferences, trade shows, livestock sales, concerts and parties are just a few of the many planned events in which this venue would provide a perfect location.
Home to the San Joaquin County Fair, the San Joaquin Asparagus Festival, and the Stockton Dirt Track (one of a few racing scenes in Stockton), this place is perfect for any and all events!

Noticed how clean the restrooms and grounds are kept , plenty of spots to have a sit and rest , the cleaning personnel was friendly and even insisted on helping when grandchildren messed up the sinks with candy from the fair . Had a great day so thank you "Michelle" I think was your name you truly helped out and do a wonderful job making people feel welcomed.
The really only cool things in my opinion was the asparagus ice cream, deep fried asparagus and let's not forget the huge shop Save Mart shopping cart. To me just over priced crap. Just the same ol stuff as any kind of fair, wine festival flee market.
We attend the Asparagus festival annually. Wonderful event. Always look forward to it. The Asparagus were not as thick this year. Tried out the deep fried Asparagus ravioli however it was too dry and bland for us. Still enjoy the Asparagus ice cream cones. Very delighted to see that the prices remained the same.
Asparagus Festival 2025: Plenty of things to do. Rides, food, vendors. I personally would require vendors to have at least one item that was on theme, just to make for a more interesting experience. Very few had anything to do with asparagus. The restrooms were not well maintained. They were out of soap or paper towels. System was good for moving people around. I do think they could have had more shaded seating. Lots of open areas and areas without proper seating. Not bad, but could be better.
Yesterday, my family and I went to San Joaquin County Fairgrounds for the Second Annual Seafood & Soul Event by BlacktoBusibess209!!! The event is ONLY $1 to get in and out was well worth it!!! There was so much great food available, with other Vendors as well!!! Harmony Waist Beads, A.D. & Me Photos, as well as a host of other's, just to name a few!!! There was great music, face painting, and four different bounce houses for the children!!! We really enjoyed ourselves!!!
